Where it all begins: bare space
When emptiness inspires, the right form is born.
A story born from silence, from a place and from a desire for meaning.
It all began in an old house in Provence. A stone building, asleep in the sun, forgotten by time, empty of presence. A place without soul, without light—but imbued with a discreet past, with whispers of times gone by. The walls still bore the traces of a life, the inhabited silences, the familiar shadows.
It was a new beginning—a suspended summer, a need to slow down. A move driven by the desire to start over differently. While everyone else was busy “decorating,” we looked for something else: a form of accuracy.
An object that doesn't seek to impose itself, but rather to find its place. A light that warms without being harsh. A raw, patinated material that tells a story without saying a word.
This is how Arc & Embers was born : from a deep need to reintroduce meaning and calm into our homes. To turn an empty space into a place to be lived in—without ever cluttering it up.
